MY STORY

PASTOR CHINAEMEREM JOSHUA IBEZIM

I was born on May 5, 1984 to Pastor and Pastor (Mrs.) Nicholas O. Ibezim. We were members of the Assemblies of God Church Ijede until 1997 when my dad founded Triumphant Cross Believers Church.

I gave my life to Christ at about 8 years old. The sky was red and I thought that Jesus was returning the second time as I had always heard. And right there on the road, while going on an errand, I repented of my sins and asked Jesus to come into my heart. In 2000 after secondary school, I was grateful to God for all He had done for me – my good results and admission. I was conscious of His love for me, and I rededicated my life to Him. On December 31, 2000, I was baptized by my father, Pastor Nicholas Ibezim. It was a unique experience for me. I felt brand new and knew that something special had happened in me.

I got into Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka in late 2000/ early 2001 and joined EFAC Students Fellowship and Chapel of Glory. In both places, my faith grew and was strengthened. I was a very active member in both. While reading one day in the warehouse, I heard Pastor Chike Ume of Believers LoveWorld preach. I enjoyed the message and began attending some mid week services in order to hear him preach. I became a member of Believers’ Loveworld after Night of Bliss in Port Harcourt, in February 2004.

Below are some positions I held in the past:

Publicity Wing Secretary. EFAC. 2001
Assistant Hostel Fellowship Co-ordinator (G-Hostel). EFAC. 2001
Publicity Wing Co-ordinator. EFAC Permanent Site Fellowship. 2002
Publicity Co-ordinator. Chapel of Glory. 2002
General Secretary, Youth Arm, and Member of Church Council. Chapel of Glory. 2003
Cell Leader. Believers’ Loveworld. 2004
Usher. Believers’ Loveworld. 2005
Cell Leader. Christ Embassy. 2005-2006
Pastoral Care Fellowship (PCF) Leader. Christ Embassy. 2006
Pastoral Assistant/ Church Secretary. Christ Embassy. 2006
Bible Study Teacher. NCCF NYSC Camp. 2006
Prayer/ Evangelism Secretary. NCCF, Oruk-Anam LGA Sub-Zone. 2007
I have also been in the choir and drama units of Triumphant Cross Believers Church, Ijede.

I preached my first message in 2001 at a retreat organized by the Publicity Wing of EFAC in school. In 2010 and 2011, I organized Ubakala Miracle Night and Ubakala Night of Joy crusades where I preached and shared gift items to widows and students. Back in 2001, I would stand on my bed and preach to no one in particular. It was around then I began to sense the call of God into the ministry. I received the Holy Spirit in 2001 with the evidence of speaking in other tongues.

In 2010, I was contacted by a pastor I knew on Facebook to start a branch of his ministry in Umuahia. I rejected the offer because I knew that wasn’t what God wanted me to do. I began Able Ministers Chapel Group on Facebook on October 19, 2010 where I shared the word with members daily. The group has 709 members today. Included are foreigners and ministers who share my messages with their brethren. A few people were inspired to start their own groups as a result of that group. To God be the glory.

After the death of Kenneth E. Hagin on September 19, 2003 (coincidentally I began public ministry exactly 10 years after!), I began praying for the anointing just as Elisha asked for a double portion of Elijah’s anointing. God spoke to me. He said He would reveal Himself to me so that I would reveal Him to others. He also said that He would teach me His word so I would teach it to others. Ever since, I have been preparing myself for ministry and my zeal for the thing of God increased.

On May 16, 2006 I left home with N6,000 for Ode-Remo in Ogun State to start a church. I was accommodated by Pastor Olaoluwa Oyemosu in the parsonage of Foursquare Gospel Church. I had not met him before then, neither did I know him or anyone else in Ode-Remo. However, he was led by the Spirit to receive me. While there, I prayed and fasted seeking the will of God. The Lord spoke to me about making peace with all men. I had left home without telling anyone, and I was having issues with my dad. So I went back home, submitted myself to my parents and decided to wait for the appointed time to begin.

In Awka, in 2006, when I went for my clearance, I spent countless hours in prayer, meditation and study of the word. It was during that time I got the vision of Able Ministers Chapel. I composed an anthem and a pledge for the ministry and also wrote notes for foundation classes.

The motto of Able Ministers Chapel is to shine the light. Our ministry exists to shine the light of the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ and to nurture believers to complete maturity. We are end-time messengers preparing the way for the second coming of Christ. We are on a mission to restore and reform the church.

Able Ministers Fellowship finally began on September 22, 2013 with 13 people in attendnce. I stopped the fellowship in 2015, and began Able Ministers Chapel on May 15, 2016, exactly ten years after I left home to start a church.

God has spoken again and again about my ministry:

August 7, 2005 – “I have chosen you. You are my vessel to this generation to give them My word. You are blessed of God.”

September 25, 2012 – “There are many things that will seek to fight the fulfillment of your vision.”

October 19, 2012 – “I am going to use you to bring healing to the nations, genuine healing, healing of the body, healing of the soul, healing of the spirit. I’m going to use you to set men free from sin and unrighteousness. Be bold because you will be criticized, but I will be with you.”

December 25, 2012 – “I have ordained you a prophet to the nations, an instrument of righteousness, a messenger of truth. Go and do the will of your Father. Tell the world about how much I love them. I shall be with you always and My glory shall be upon you. Fear nothing, for I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will be your shield. I will be your strength, and I will be your reward. You will succeed in areas where others have failed; I will show you visions of things to come, and My power shall be upon you mightily. This is the day that the Lord has made! Walk before Me in truth and uprightness and I will bless you. Says the Lord.”

July 28, 2014 – “Whatever you say shall come to pass. This day I have put My words in your mouth. I Myself will fulfill it. I will manifest My word with signs and wonders.”

God has also spoken through others. In 2003, Ifunanya Chukwu had a dream of me preaching to a large gathering of people. In 2011, Bishop Kingsley Chijioke of Glorious Dominion Chapel prophesied about me and my ministry publicly in church and privately in the presence of Ijeoma Duruaku. He said there’s a great grace upon me. Miracle Oriaku James had a dream on May 26, 2014 where she saw me preaching to a large crowd of people. She said the people were as many as in a stadium. Dorcas Akpan had a similar dream in 2016. On February 8, 2014, Prophet George Culley sent a message on Google+, “Chinaemerem Ibezim, Jesus is going to use you in a healing ministry!” Hallelujah!

I have so far published three books: Little Things You Should Know About Friendship (2004), Getting Along With People (2010) and Laying The Foundation For A Great Future (2012).

Even though I had been sharing the word daily since 2010, there was a need for a devotional. I prayed by the river in Marina Resort sometime in June 2013 that God should use me to spread His word all over the earth as waters cover the sea. That was how Spirit & Life Devotional came into existence. Today, it is being read by thousands and published by some media sites like The Trent (www.thetrentonline.com).

“I look upon all the world as my parish; thus far I mean, that, in whatever part of it I am, I judge it meet, right, and my bouden duty to declare unto all that are willing to hear, the glad tidings of salvation. This is the work which I know God has called me to; and sure I am that His blessing attends it.” John Wesley

We are presently reaching the world through Facebook, BBM, Google+, Twitter, Blogger, LinkedIn and Instagram.

Thank you and God bless.
