A Spirit-filled Church
Numbers 11:16-17, 25-29
The Spirit/the anointing wasn’t given to everyone in the Old Testament; it was put upon prophets, priests, kings and judges. In the New Testament, everyone of us can be filled with the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:17-18 says, “‘In the last days,’ God says, ‘I will pour out my Spirit upon all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your young men will see visions, and your old men will dream dreams. In those days I will pour out my Spirit even on my servants—men and women alike— and they will prophesy.”
We should have Spirit filled churches everywhere, not just churches with a couple of Spirit filled brethren. And there should be manifestations! Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthian church: “I wish you could all speak in tongues, but even more I wish you could all prophesy.” 1 Corinthians 14:5. Therefore, it’s possible!
We must never be satisfied being “ordinary”. The church is neither a club or a town hall meeting; it’s a gathering of anointed men and women (so it should be)! Let’s become hungry. And let’s cry out to God for the fulfilment of His promise to us. Amen.
