Shutting the door of your life to satanic activities
Jesus said, as recorded in John 14:30, that the ruler of the world was coming, and he had nothing in Him. The enemy is always going and coming; we never keep him away permanently: he goes about as a roaring lion seeking someone to devour.
Ephesians 4:27 says that we shouldn’t give place to the devil. Meaning that we can, through our actions, give the devil permission to enter our lives. 2 Corinthians 2:10-11 also reveals to us that it’s possible for Satan to outsmart us, or to take advantage of us. We can now understand why Christians are harassed by the devil: they ignorantly permitted him into their lives.
Sin gives the devil the legal right to operate in our lives. Unfortunately, a lot of us are playing with sin. To shut the door against satanic activities we must first stop sinning. And then, there must be genuine repentance and confession of those sins before there’s healing and recovery. We can live in complete victory over the devil, but like Jesus, we must be able to say that Satan has nothing in us. Amen.
