Something To Lean On
“Through God we will do valiantly, for it is He who shall tread down our enemies.” Psalms 60:12 NKJV
Ten years ago, a man’s advice to us youths was this: “Live a clean life and have something to lean on.” He was a traditional ruler, and “something to lean on” could have meant anything.
Many successful people in the world did not succeed on their own, even though they are called “self made”; they have “something” that they are leaning on. We are children of God, we don’t lean on “things”, neither do we put our trust in fellow men, we trust in God alone.
If you will succeed in the new year, and if 2017 will be better than 2016, you must lean on the Lord. You can achieve ordinary results by your own efforts, but if you desire to do valiantly, it can only be done through God. Paul said that he could do all things through Christ who strengthened him. Let Christ be your strength in 2017; let the word of God be your inspiration; be prayerful so that you can receive divine ideas from God. In 2017, learn to be still that God may work for you. You will surely succeed in Jesus name. Amen.
