Don’t Despise Your Seed
“It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth.” Mark 4:31 NKJV
Here’s what Jesus said: “To what shall we liken the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we picture it? It is like a mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth; but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade.”
Now, imagine that the sower focused on the size of the seed instead of the potential of the seed, and refused to sow the seed in the ground; there would never have been the growth of a mighty tree.
It’s not always about the size of what you’ve got, brothers and sisters; it’s about its potential and what God can do with it. You’ve got to stop looking down on yourself and your abilities: stop comparing yourself with other people. You may not be the best out there; you may not be the most gifted or talented person; you may not be the most intelligent or the most qualified; you can still be the most successful one; the most fruitful one, and the most productive one.
All you have to do is sow your seed in the ground! Start using what you’ve got. Hand it over to God. Tell Him to use you and your seed. Sooner or later, you will be amazed at how much has been accomplished. Don’t despise your seed.
