Let Him Be God
“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10 NKJV
It’s true that you are a Christian, and it’s true that you are man and not God; but are you letting God be God in your life and in your affairs?
When we live in fear and are always worried, we are not letting God be God in our lives; we are actually saying by our actions that we do not trust Him enough to do a better job than we can do by ourselves. Do you know that that’s what it means to be worried? When we worry, we pass a vote of no confidence on God; we are saying that He’s not strong enough, that He’s not caring enough, and that even if He can help us, He’s not willing to do so.
Brothers and sisters, we must learn to be still before God. The Psalmist said, “Why, I ask myself, are you so depressed? Why are you so upset inside (restless, disquieted, disturbed)? Hope in God! Because I will again give him thanks, my saving presence and my God.” (Psalms 43:5). Can we just exercise some faith in God today? Can we cast our cares on Him? Can we make today a worry free day? Can we give Him a chance to prove Himself? God says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Hallelujah!
