You Shall Not Lack
“Forty years You sustained them in the wilderness; they lacked nothing; their clothes did not wear out and their feet did not swell.” Nehemiah 9:21 NKJV
Brothers and sisters, it is really possible not to lack! Some of us have become used to lacking things, and we’ve accepted it as normal; we’ve stopped believing for a life without lack.
But the Lord is our Shepherd; we should not lack! For forty years God sustained the Israelites in the desert. If you’ve not been to a desert, I’m sure that you’ve seen pictures of one; that’s not where you would expect to have a surplus of anything, but that’s where God catered for millions of people for forty whole years! Because He is God, and with Him nothing is impossible!
It doesn’t matter where you are or what you do for a living, it is possible for you not to lack. We must stop relying on what we earn and begin to look unto our Shepherd. We will lack as long as we are relying upon our own abilities to provide for ourselves, but when we acknowledge God as our Shepherd we will never lack. You will not lack in Jesus name. Amen.
