Expecting The Rapture
“Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.” I Thessalonians 4:17 NKJV
It’s funny that some people do not believe in the rapture. Is it that such people do not believe that Jesus ascended into heaven after His resurrection? Because it is something similar that is going to happen. Well, believe it or not, the day is coming when the saints will be raptured. Amen. Matthew 24:31 says that He (Jesus) will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
Jesus said that “two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.” In other words, one will be caught up to meet with Him in the air, while the other will be left behind. Question: which man or woman are you going to be; the one taken or the one left behind?
That day is coming, brothers and sisters; it is coming! Are you ready? We used to say, “The rapture will not happen until I get married”, “Jesus will not come until I build my mansion”; etc; funny thoughts: “learn this parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all the signs that are being fulfilled everyday, know that it is near—at the doors!
