Like An Apple Tree
“Like an apple tree among the trees of the woods, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down in his shade with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.” Song of Solomon 2:3 NKJV
Many times in the Bible, we are compared with trees. For instance, Psalm 1:1-3 says, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.” Hallelujah!
Psalm 92:12-14 says, “The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing.” Wow! Glory to God!
I like Song of Solomon 2:3; the woman said that her beloved was like an apple tree among the trees of the woods. In other words, compared with others, he was a pleasant one! She said, “I sat down in his shade with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste.” Do you know that that’s exactly what God wants your life to be? For your fruit to be sweet! For people to be delighted whenever they have an encounter with you! Today, I declare that you are like an apple tree! Your fruit shall be sweet in the name of Jesus! No more bitterness, no more sadness and sorrow! No more bad experiences! Your portion is joy and favour! God has made your life beautiful! Say Amen!
