TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION
2 John 1:4 ERV “I was very happy to learn about some of your children. I am happy that they are following the way of truth, just as the Father commanded us.”
Training children and youths is a collective responsibility and not for parents alone. Proverbs 22:6 NKJV says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it.” He was referring to everyone of us.
To a large extent, a previous generation is responsible for whatever the next generation becomes. If we want a better future we must take responsibility for it; merely wishing for a better future won’t achieve the desired results, we must work hard for it.
Be interested in the spiritual growth and development of every child around you. If their parents aren’t doing a great job, that’s why you’re there! Teach them to sing Christian songs, teach them to pray and to say praise the Lord. Buy them children bibles, teach them not to use foul languages, and to respect and love one another. And you parents, you must never fail God. Don’t give birth to children that Satan will use! Train your children to love the Lord, to do good and to live a purpose driven life.
